AlleyCat is normally set up in the C:Program Files (x86)SpeedCatAlleyCat folder, regulated by the user's option. You can remove AlleyCat by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:Program Files (x86)SpeedCatAlleyCatgouninst.exe. These instructions assume Ubuntu Linux 10.04 and Mac OS X client. The instructions are pretty identical if your local workstation is some flavour of Linux. As of OS X 10.10.3 the new Photos app is bundled with Yosemite.
As a completely new application, users who have been familiar with iPhoto or Aperture are likely to find significant differences in workflow and new ways of organising photos should they wish to use Photos rather than continue with the older apps.
